Three kinds of work, one way of working
Each is a whole vertical with its own field forms and its own reports. What they share is the spine underneath — your staff, your clients, your branding and your wording.
Cargo inspections
Pre-shipment and outturn condition, packing lists imported from the shipper’s own spreadsheet, tally and condition against every unit, loading surveys and site deliveries with a signed receipt.
Route surveys
Abnormal load moves: every restriction between the port and the site, with its measurements, the works and permissions it creates, axle loads, lashing and the method statement.
Marine surveys
Attendance on board — draft and bunker surveys, on and off hire, hold condition, cargo damage, discharge attendance and measurement, each asking only for what it needs.

Raise the job
A reference, a client and a date. Import the packing list from the spreadsheet you were sent — the wizard maps the columns and shows you ten rows before it writes anything.

The surveyor works it on a phone
Condition and photographs against each unit, with or without signal. Everything is written to the phone and sent when there is a bar.

The office watches it fill in
Findings appear as they are recorded. No waiting for photographs to arrive by WhatsApp in the evening, and no retyping them.

Issue the report
Word and PDF for the file, Excel for the client’s own working, on your letterhead and in your standard wording. Sent as an expiring link rather than a thirty-megabyte attachment.
In the field
It works where the cargo is, not where the signal is
A quay, a yard, a hold, a border at night. The field app keeps working with no connection and syncs when it finds one — and because every record is created with its own identifier, a half-sent upload retried later does not become a second copy.

The document
A report that says what it did not cover
Coverage is stated plainly, with an exceptions page and appendices listing what was never reached and what has no photograph. "Sound" means somebody looked and found nothing — not that nobody looked. That distinction is what makes the document worth signing.

Questions we are asked first
Does it work without a signal?
Yes, and that is the normal case rather than a fallback. Everything a surveyor records is written to the phone first and sent when there is a connection. Because each record is created with its own identifier, an upload that was interrupted and retried later cannot become a second copy of the same item.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet — the installable app is Android. On an iPhone the same screens run in Safari, and adding the site to the Home Screen makes it open like an app and keeps you signed in. An iOS build is planned.
Can we use our own report wording and letterhead?
Yes. Your logo and address block, your standard clauses, your section headings and the order they appear in — set once and used everywhere, and overridable for a particular client who wants it their way.
What formats do reports come out in?
Word and PDF for the file, and Excel for the client’s own working. Reports are sent as an expiring link rather than as an attachment, so nothing bounces off a mail server for being too large.
